So we spoke with Dr., associate professor of dermatology and director of cosmetic and clinical research in the Department of Dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, about rollers.
Says Dr., "Facial rollers are very popular, but unfortunately there is very little data on their actual effectiveness." Ugh.
"Rollers," he explains, "are usually made with cold stones." When applied to the skin, cold temperatures constrict blood vessels and minimize inflammation. The pressure of the roller on the skin is believed to improve lymphatic flow and drain excess water." This makes sense to us. What other evidence is there that facial rollers may have legal benefits?
